We have retired, relocated, and downsized so we are listing some of the treasures we have collected over the years. We have loved collecting a variety of vintage radios, Shelley teacups, Hall teapots, SLR cameras, Madame Alexander dolls, books and many other items. Hopefully they will now go to someone who will love and treasure them as we have. **Please check our other listings as there maybe something there for you** This Auction is for a large stunning 1936 Philco Tombstone Radio - model 116B, 11 tube BC/SW/LW. We obtained this very large tombstone radio from a retired TV/ radio repairmen, who owned his repair shop for 30+ years. He had begun the restoration by replacing the paper caps, but never finished it - as seen in the photos. The chassis is very clean. The cabinet is in gorgeous condition - all tubes are good and a new AC line cord has been added. The shadowgraph dial works great - The radio tries to receive stations, but none are heard - only static when you switch between bands. The speaker is good and all knobs operate as they should. Once its made operational, it should be a "Museum Quality" radio. It shouldn't take much to get it in full working order - but we'll leave that up to its new owner. The dimensions are; 24"H x 16'W X 12"D and it weighs 40 lbs. unboxed **Vintage radios can be tempermental at times - if we say the radio receives stations in our description, it means when it was packed, it was in full operating condition.
